Control environment lighting, materials, and AI-generated textures.
When you upload a 3D model (GLB, GLTF, or STL), Spokbee renders it in an interactive viewer powered by Three.js. Customers can rotate, zoom, and pan the model. The viewer supports PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials for realistic results.
The environment controls the lighting and reflections your model receives. Spokbee includes 10+ environment presets:
You can also upload custom HDR environment maps for brand-specific lighting. Custom HDRs appear alongside the built-in presets.
Fine-tune the viewer's appearance with these settings:
| Setting | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Exposure | 0 – 3.0 | Controls overall brightness. Higher values brighten the scene. |
| Tone Mapping | Commerce / Neutral / AGX | Color grading preset. Commerce is optimized for product photography; Neutral is flat; AGX gives a cinematic look. |
| Shadow Intensity | 0 – 1.0 | How dark the ground shadow appears beneath the model. |
| Shadow Softness | 0 – 1.0 | How blurred the shadow edges are. Higher values create softer, more diffused shadows. |
Every surface (mesh) in your 3D model appears as a separate material in the Material Editor panel. Click any material to customize its properties:
The primary color or texture of the surface. You can set a solid color using a color picker or apply an image texture.
Controls how metallic the surface looks. 0 is fully dielectric (plastic, wood, fabric); 1 is fully metallic (steel, chrome, gold). Values in between create partially metallic appearances.
Controls surface smoothness. 0 is perfectly smooth and mirror-like; 1 is completely rough and diffuse. Most real-world materials fall between 0.3 and 0.8.
Describe a material in natural language — for example, “brushed walnut with a warm tone” or “hammered copper with green patina” — and Spokbee generates a seamless, tileable texture that can be applied directly to any surface on your 3D model.
Generated textures are saved to your asset library so you can reuse them across products. The AI produces textures that tile seamlessly, meaning no visible seams when the texture repeats across a surface.
Spokbee includes 15+ built-in material presets for quick setup:
Presets set the base color, metallic factor, roughness, and optional texture in one click. You can further customize any preset after applying it.
Normal maps add surface detail (bumps, grooves, engravings) without adding geometry to the model. Spokbee's data model supports normal maps on any material. Upload a normal map image and assign it to a material to add subtle physical detail like wood grain, fabric weave, or machined patterns.
Tip: Start with the “Commerce” tone mapping preset — it is optimized for making products look their best on screen, similar to professional product photography lighting.
